Dogs Travel FREE

We are a Dog Friendly Railway - and welcome well behaved dogs and their owners at our stations and on our trains. In addition, dogs travel FREE provided that their owners have purchased a ticket and other passengers do not object.

Please note that for reasons of hygiene dogs are not permitted on the seats or in the 1st Class compartments.

Water is usually available on the platform - if not please ask a member of our staff who will provide. Although allowed in the shop, due to a lack of space, dogs are not permitted in the Tea-Rooms. (Guide and Assistance dogs excepted). However, there is plenty of outside undercover seating where you can sit, drink, eat and still be with your dog.

All we ask is that all dog owners behave responsibly by keeping their dog on a lead at all times and should they do what all dogs do - please do clean it up.
