There are always a wide variety of projects underway - some being done by individuals, some by area groups and some by others not directly connected wit the railway. The following are dedicated pages for the railway's key projects.

Our first steam loco in modern times was AXE - apart from the recreation of the railway at Woody Bay this was probably our most ambitious project until the building of LYN. Although the project is now complete you may  still wish to read about some of what was involved to complete this project.
