Station Tea Rooms

Open every day scheduled passenger trains are operating, the Tea Rooms are situated inside the station building and can be accessed through the shop with available seating between the two rooms for about 17 visitors. There is further seating outside with the Tea Garden able to seat 70+ visitors. There is also a permanent marquee for when the weather prevails.

All our catering is managed from the very small kitchen. Food on our menu is freshly prepared and is locally sourced from North Devon and Exmoor - it is our policy to support local producers.

Our Tea Rooms are available to be used privately for groups and parties - we will be pleased to offer catering appropriate for any occasions.

If you are interested in visiting with a group, please contact us to discuss your requirements.

Be a Volunteer In Our Tea Rooms

Are you a whiz with a teapot? Can you butter bread to the corners and slice tomatoes with style? Or maybe you prefer to take food orders, wash up and chat to visitors.  As railway visitor numbers continue to increase, we are always pleased to welcome new volunteers to help run our tea rooms at Woody Bay Station. The Tea Rooms are open seven days a week in high season and we need lots of people to ensure it is successful so it can continue to contribute to the funds required to get this railway to its next objective, Blackmoor, and beyond.

We are a small, friendly and supportive team who would welcome some similar minded people to help us make this the best year ever. So any spare time you might have could help us out, make sure the tea rooms are always staffed and that we can provide a vital service for our passengers, especially over the weekends.
Please call us on 01598 763487 for an informal chat and more information or email enquiries@lynton-rail.co.uk or drop in when we are open.
