7. Next on were 'The Incredibly Strung Vest' - a four-piece doing some catchy tunes.

8. Local singer-songwriter Chris Millington rounded off the afternoon with a few folky songs of tales of the coast around North Devon.

10. Meanwhile the train was busy all afternoon. Problems with an air brake valve resulted in the last trains of the day being top and tailed with AXE as the train engine and Diesel HEDDON HALL on the rear to supply the air brake pressure.

12. Two late specials were run for visitors arriving by coach from an excursion off the 'Waverley' paddle steamer. AXE at Killington Lane at 17:00 with the evening sun far enough around to hightlight the train.

This was a very successful day with the catering and shop staff kept busy throughout.

The bar also did well - almost running out of chilled cider for all those thirsty musicians!

Thanks to all of you who helped not only the day, but also in the preparation for this event.  A special thank you to Dave Blencowe who supplied and installed the excellent PA system.
