This date and restrictions remain subject to government virus control regulations.
On Monday July 19th we entered Step 4 of the planned relaxations of Covid-19 restrictions. There haven’t been any surprises so:
This means that there will be more opportunities for us to work within Friday Wood Farm Workshop. Van 23 needs you! We aim to be cautious, so to maintain safety please continue to book your attendance with Dave Ely (07473-655322). Dave must ensure that workflow and safe distancing of operations are as productive as possible, so booking is requested. Please do not attend if you are feeling unwell and inform Dave if a test proves positive.
Most shops and cafés will be open or, you can bring sandwiches and a flask.
The toilets at FWF are open.
As there is no external ventilation to the mess room it remains closed, but tea making facilities are available in the workshop. Sanitising hand jell is available. The rules for this phase of reopening are shown below:
If you feel able to attend and help with the rebuild of Van 23, you will be most welcome.
There’s a lot happening in Devon, so expect some good news at the Autumn Gala and the AGM which will be on Saturday evening.

The Workshop will be fully open to volunteers on 19th July 2021.
Following the relaxation of Step 3 restrictions, the following rules are instituted to cope with Covid-19 will apply and will be reviewed as recovery proceeds and infections reduce.
1. If you have any symptoms which may be Covid-19, do not attend the workshop.
2. If you have any symptoms of Covid-19 after attending the workshop, you must not return to the workshop and, after taking medical advice, inform David Ely, Steve Arthurs, or Charles Summers of the date when you last visited the site.
3. We are now in Step 4, but with some sensible precautionary advice, we can return to normal working. Volunteers should book their day od attendance with David Ely (phone No 07473-655322) beforehand.
4. On arrival Volunteers should sign in and report to David Ely who will allocate their task and work area. Volunteers should keep 1+ metre away from anyone else if possible.
5. Occasionally David or another Volunteer may require assistance with moving or handling a heavy or awkward item. If this means that a distance of 1+ metres cannot be maintained, then face covering should be worn and care should be taken to avoid contact.
6. As there is no means of external ventilation, the Mess room is out of bounds. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in the workshop.
7. The toilets on site are used by all people working on the farm and units. If you need to use these facilities, we recommend that you bring sanitising wipes and use the sanitiser provided in the workshop with each visit and when arriving and leaving.
8. Please use these rules to protect yourself and others.
Let’s have a good summer.
